THE QUEEN'S WILD (4DAYS ) CLASSIC WILDLIFE SAFARI

A Classic Queen Elizabeth Safari Destination: Uganda Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights Style: Classic Wildlife Safari Best for: First-time safari travellers, couples, families, photographers & Africa enthusiasts Where savannah meets water, wildlife meets wilderness, and the Rwenzori Mountains rise beyond the horizon.

THE SIGNATURE ITINERARY DAY 01 — INTO THE WILD
Kampala / Entebbe → Queen Elizabeth National Park Your journey begins as you leave the city behind and travel west towards Uganda's great Rift Valley landscapes. Along the way, experience the changing scenery of rural Uganda before arriving in the Queen Elizabeth conservation area. Late afternoon: Arrive at your lodge, settle in and take in your first views of the wilderness. Evening: Sunset, dinner and your first night under the African sky. Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park

DAY 02 — THE SAVANNAH AWAKENS Morning Game Drive • Afternoon Kazinga Channel Cruise Wake early. This is when the savannah begins to move. Head into the Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive, one of the park's principal wildlife-viewing areas. The open grasslands are known for Uganda kob and offer opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelope and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax. The Kazinga Channel In the afternoon, take one of Tripdrift's signature experiences — a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. The channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and is famous for its concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and waterbirds. UWA describes the cruise as one of the park's defining wildlife experiences. As the afternoon light changes, watch the animals gather along the water. Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park

DAY 03 — THE OTHER SIDE OF QUEEN Ishasha Wilderness Experience Today takes you deeper into the southern reaches of Queen Elizabeth. Ishasha is famous for its vast savannah landscapes and its iconic tree-climbing lions. Rather than guaranteeing a lion sighting, Tripdrift can position this as an authentic wilderness encounter — the landscape itself is part of the experience. The sector is currently receiving renewed conservation attention through a 2026 UWA–WCS collaboration focused on restoring the Ishasha ecosystem and its tree-climbing lion population. Spend the day exploring the wilderness before returning to your lodge. Optional: For travellers interested in primates, the itinerary can instead incorporate Kyambura Gorge chimpanzee tracking, subject to permit availability. Kyambura is known for its chimpanzee population and dramatic gorge landscape. Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park

DAY 04 — CRATERS, RIFTS & THE JOURNEY HOME Begin your final morning with a relaxed breakfast before exploring the spectacular landscapes around the park. Take a crater-lake route, with opportunities for panoramic views, photography and a final taste of the Albertine Rift landscape. Then begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Safari ends. But the memories stay.
